Writing

Explanation We have done a lot of different writing subjects. Persuasive arguments, debates, and now an explanation. It surprised me how little amount of time it actually took me to finish it. As we had to make a plan as well. We had four subjects we could all choose from: What is energy. To what extent have scientists discovered all forms of energy. Can energy run out. How is energy important in the everyday lives of people. As you may have noticed all subjects are based around energy. I chose to research how is energy important in the everyday lives of people. As I was away the day the workshop for the explanations happened, competing in a chess tournament, I was not informed until the last week and had to hurry to complete it. However I did manage to finish it.

The rusty nail: Immersion work

The rusty nail On the 15 of June 2017, a quarter of lc7's class learnt chemistry. One of the exercises was to put a nail in a glass of salt water, and another in glass of fresh water. We had to write up a hypothesis of what we thought would rust faster, and I thought salt would. We waited five days, recording different changes that we saw, and on the fifth day took the nails out. most of the class, even the LA was surprised to realize that fresh water actually rusted faster. This was a surprise to me, for as our LA Nicole said when you take your boat out of the ocean you rinse it down with fresh water. So this was rather puzzling.
